As COVID 19 reshaped the way we move around the world, I began to really think about what I was really longing for as my homesickeness took root as a permanent fixture of my existence.
As I sat with this thought, pondering over emotions that were making their home in my being, my interaction with art became a common fixture in my musings. From the art galleries and go downs of Nairobi to the independent shows and art expos of Cape Town, I was longing a connection not just with the land I call home but with the spirit that flow through the continent.
Without a way to safely explore these spaces, I sort out to find a way to bring a bit of this vibrancy to my current residence in China. Follow me as we explore different narratives from the perspectives of African artists.
